Aster & Thyme
The project
The design, strip-out and installation of new electrical and mechanical systems for Aster & Thyme, a large restaurant and bar within Newcastle International Airport’s departure lounge.
The challenge
The restaurant, bar and kitchen brought together brand design, technical services and airport operational requirements. Changes and interfaces needed close coordination between the client, main contractor and airport management.
Our scope
- Small power design and installation, containment and cabling
- Specialist sockets and switches
- Data and communication systems integrated with the airport’s main PAVA system
- Brand lighting with zoned controls
- Water services and drainage
Bringing it together
Our team worked to the brand designer’s layouts and the client’s operational requirements, maintaining close communication across the project to resolve design changes and site challenges.
