London City Airport
Hithes Restaurant

The project
The design, strip-out and installation of new electrical and mechanical systems for Hithes, a restaurant and bar within London City Airport’s departure lounge.
The challenge
A major crane lift for rooftop plant required a temporary closure of the Docklands Light Railway to manage the crane’s operating zone safely. The programme needed careful coordination with the client, main contractor and airport management.
Our scope
- Comprehensive electrical installations
- Ventilation and kitchen extract systems
- Complex fire dampers within the ductwork
- Integration with the airport’s Building Management System
- Water services and drainage
- Coordination of rooftop plant installation and crane logistics
Bringing it together
Brand layouts, technical requirements and site logistics were coordinated throughout, keeping safety and airport operational requirements central to delivery.
